Home Based Claims Handler Vacancy

Location: Home Based in the North West region
Type: Permanent
Salary: £18,000-£21,000 + Benefits
(Minimum of 3 years' experience)
 
As an Home Based Insurance Claims Handler you will be working for a market leading independent building claim validation specialist, providing an end-to-end building claim handling service who pride themselves on delivering a very high standard of customer service.

Due to our commitment to our customers and staff we are expanding in the UK market and are looking for self driven and confident Home Based Claims Handlers with a minimum of 3 years experience in handling building damage claims to join our new home-working team.
 
You will be part of a team of fellow work-from-home Claims Handlers who you'll meet up with a couple of times a year.  You will need to be organised and have the ability to manage your time effectively in this work from home position.
 
Ideally you will have had previous experience of working from before because you'll know the discipline and focus required to work from home.
 
You will be provided with all the necessary equipment to work from home.

About the Home Based Claims Handler Role:

Home Based Insurance Claims Handlers require excellent customer handling and organisation skills as you will be required to manage a case load of property claims efficiently and proactively in line with client specific requirements and service level agreements.

As a home based claims handler you will be :
 
  • Settling/declining claims under delegated authority
  • Adhering to customer quality standards and service level agreements
  • Auditing surveyor reports
  • Communicating with customers and insurer clients over the telephone, email and in writing
  • Managing third party companies, such as Building Networks, Drying/Restoration suppliers and flooring suppliers, driving claims to settlement
  • Updating and creating building repair schedules using our in-house schedule of rates

In order to be considered for this position you will have:
 
  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience
  • Live outside of a 15 mile radius of Bolton. If you do live within the Bolton area please see our website for details of our office based roles.
  • Demonstrate great communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate a high standard of customer service
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced target driven environment
  • Positive attitude and be a team player
