Surveyor Performance Manager required

 

BVS is expanding in the UK market and have a great opportunity for a Surveyor Performance Manager to join our Surveyor Management team. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing BVS standards and supporting the Surveyor Management Team.

 

About the Surveyor Performance Manager role
 
This role requires excellent organisation and interpersonal skills.  You will need to review surveyor performance and complete competency audits.  The surveyor teams are split into 7 regions each with a regional manager who act as a referral point for the surveyors carrying out building claims surveys on our behalf.  You will also be required to train, coach and develop our team of in-house Building Technicians.

 
Surveyor Performance Manager duties include:
 
  • Review surveyor performance monthly Management Information with Surveyor Directors and communicate performance issues to Surveyors, setting improvement plans and deadlines for required improvements.
  • Review competency documentation completed by Regional Surveyor Managers
  • Act as a technical reference point for the Building Technicians
  • Train, coach and develop Building Technicians to ensure they reach their full potential. Conduct 6 monthly performance development reviews and identify training & development needs.
  • Arrange 6 monthly competency assessments for office-based surveyors
  • Compile and maintain the Building Technician manual
  • Quality Assurance – assist the Claims and Operations manager with delivery of Building Technician audits and providing supplementary audits when required.
  • Provide technical input and assist the Claims and Operations Manager when interviewing candidates
 

Skills and Experience Required:

 
  • Experience in property surveys 
  • Experience in construction/works/design management 
  • Understand principles of design, including statutory requirements (CDM/Asbestos) 
  • Insurance buildings claims experience
  • Experience of contractor/surveyor management
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Health & Safety training/awareness 
  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • £35,000-£40,000 per annum depending on experience

Hours: 08:30-17:00 Monday to Friday
