Building Validation Solutions (BVS) – one of the country's leading claims validation companies– alongside its sister companies BVS Subsidence and PJ Web – has announced that it had been awarded the ISO 27001 certificate, following an independent audit of its information security management system.
The internationally recognised ISO 27001 is a practical management framework that helps companies to identify, analyse and address its information risks. It helps businesses to continually review and refine security arrangements throughout the organisation, not only for today, but also for the future – keeping pace with the ever changing security landscape.
Chris Brown, managing director of BVS said: "Attaining the highest information security accreditation – ISO 27001 is a fantastic achievement and demonstrates our continued commitment to information security and data protection."
Continued Chris: "For our insurance clients and their customers, achieving this accreditation guarantees that we are employing a best in class approach to information security and underlines our commitment to safeguarding content and data in the most secure manner achievable."
To gain certification, BVS underwent a thorough assessment to demonstrate the effectiveness of its information security management system in order to satisfy the demand of an independent external auditing body.
Sarah Jackson director of corporate services at BVS explains: "We defined a rigorous roadmap and created a dedicated team to develop, implement and maintain a robust information security management system which the auditor applauded at our formal assessment as one of the best he'd seen.
"Whilst achieving the standard is fantastic news for us, we are just getting started. We have a continuous improvement programme in place and have a lot planned for the future to achieve our long-term vision for security best practice."
